The Egyptian rock legends return to London.
Since the iconic rock band formed in 2005, Massar Egbari have taken the Arabic music scene by storm with their music and disruptive lyrics, gaining them new audiences wherever they plug in their instruments. They find their edge in their ability to combine progressive tunes with lyrics tackling universal complex topics. Just as their uniqueness lies in their intriguing and diverse music, characters and background.
Over the past 12 years, Massar Egbari have left a deep footprint that has contributed to shaping the independent music scene. They are winners of many awards including the Middle East Music Awards (MEMA), taking it home twice in 2013 and 2017, and they were also bestowed the title of “Artists for Intercultural Dialogue” by UNESCO in 2010.
Since 2006, Massar Egbari have performed in over 40 cities, where they toured Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and the Middle East. To date, Massar Egbari have released three albums; “E’era El Khabar” (2013), “To’aa we t’oum” (2015) and very recently “El Album” (2018).
