The Egyptian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist comes to Manchester for the first time to perform a selection of his latest albums, “Ehky” & “Qarar Shakhsy” alongside fan-favorites hits and Arabic heritage songs.
Following the mid-December release of Ekhy (Narrate to me/Tell Me), and the summer release of Qarar Shakhsy (Personal Decision): the two recent albums exploring themes of choice, identity and personal freedom; Hamza Namira returns with a rich blend of contemporary Arabic pop, folk and alternative indie music.
His career spans over two decades, marked by his unique ability to blend heartfelt lyricism with rich musical textures. He has become a luminous expression of his homeland’s resilience and ambition. Emerging as a major public figure, most notably since the Egyptian revolution of 2011, he uses his work to explore and engage with the prominent social issues of today.
The performance is set to take you on an intimate journey featuring live performances of Namira’s most powerful songs alongside fan-favourites from across the decades.
