One of the most prominent event producers within Europe to focus on the SWANA region, Marsm programmes a calendar of 40-50 events annually, from live concerts, European tours and club nights to festivals, community events and screenings and discussions.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager who will lead on and deliver MARSM UK’s impressive portfolio of events. The Production Manager will work closely with the Director, liaising with venues, artists, managers, and music industry professionals to produce and co-produce our calendar of events.

The successful candidate must be highly organised in a fast-paced environment, exceptionally adaptive to different clients’ needs and excel in communication. This person must have at least three years in event production, experience in and knowledge of music from the SWANA region and bring vision and energy to the role.

Key Duties:

  • Maintain and oversee the MARSM calendar of events in the UK and across Europe.
  • Identify opportunities and deliver on programming partnerships to promote events with artists from the SWANA region; programming brainstorms with MARSM Director.
  • Set up, organise and maintain files on each event, including production forms and budgets.
  • Research and book music venues, negotiate terms with the venue before finalising the contract, and continuous communication with the venue team before, during and after the event.
  • Negotiate agreements with artists and/or their representatives, before finalising and upholding the contract for its term.
  • Introduce the Marketing Manager to relevant marketing contact for venue and artist ahead of event launch.
  • Set up event ticketing internally (Eventbrite) or externally (venue’s ticketing platforms), and keep the team updated on ticket sales.
  • Coordinate logistics for artists, including visa applications, international travel, accommodation and taxis.
  • Create production schedules in collaboration with artists and venues. Where applicable, organise necessary backline, filming permissions, guest lists, catering etc.
  • Main point of contact for artists, and venue’s duty manager: Be onsite for a significant amount of the live music event to oversee setup, artist arrival, soundcheck and ensure the overall smooth running of events.
  • When not onsite, appropriately delegate roles and brief MARSM/ production staff accordingly.
  • Oversee the submission and payments of all invoices (expenses, artist fees, venue hire, backline hire, catering and riders, logistics etc.)
  • Liaise with all relevant staff to wrap up the event: request settlement, finalise budget (requesting and submitting invoices from artists, backline etc.), final number of attendees (ticketed and guest list), debrief with venue when needed, internal evaluation with the team (including marketing, venue relationship, business development) etc.
  • Consultancy: production advice and support to external organisations.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 3-4 years proven experience as an Events/ Production Manager.
  • Organised, work well under pressure and switch between projects seamlessly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent command of English (other languages also desirable, particularly Arabic).
