As part of A Season of Arabic Culture, Marsm is partnering with Global Music Academy to bring global music to the classroom. Throughout October and November, musicians specialising in SWANA music will lead engaging music workshops at Aldersgate School, introducing students to maqam, the scales that underpin traditional Arabic music.

This event is not open to the public, but if you’re passionate about introducing children and young people to music from around the world, you can learn more about the work of Global Music Academy below.
