Based in the heart of London’s music scene, MARSM UK is a producer and promoter of music, arts and culture, curating vibrant musical showcases in the UK and beyond. MARSM amplifies the voices of dynamic and versatile artists from South West Asia and North Africa (SWANA) and their diasporas, whilst challenging representation in the mainstream scene.

Who We Are Looking For: 

We are looking for a strong Marketing Manager who will lead on MARSM UK’s digital presence, designing and delivering marketing strategy. This person must thrive in a fast-paced environment, have exceptional digital marketing skills, and obviously must love music!

Key Duties:

  • Liaising with Production Manager regarding all events, including but not limited to collecting and reviewing artist assets and liaising with artists’ marketing team, manager or agent.
  • Creating and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies, ensuring the promotion of all MARSM concerts and projects including the Agency, Hishek Bishek and DNDARA.
  • Leading on and overseeing all content creation: create detailed content briefs for designers with relevant assets, graphics, videos and audio, even when materials are limited.
  • Liaising with venues and artists to ensure mutual events are launched and then marketed correctly and efficiently. 
  • Maintaining clear communication with all clients during campaign periods, and maintaining relationships through email but also through personalised phone calls and WhatsApp groups. 
  • Managing artists and their teams’ expectations in promotion and marketing (especially within the UK/European context) in a way that also meets Marsm’s expectations and strategic goals. 
  • Ensuring consistency and coherence in all our branding across all platforms.
  • Adapting content to relevant platforms, with knowledge of which content is best suited to each platform at any given time. 
  • Leading digital marketing campaigns to execute clear, concise brand messaging across online platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Mailchimp and TikTok.
  • Identifying opportunities and delivering on digital marketing partnerships to promote events. 
  • Tracking, monitoring, and reporting on campaign performance across all digital platforms.
  • Develop the MARSM brand, increase user engagement and follower base.
  • Managing social media officer and content producer – overseeing all tasks and schedules.
  • Marketing for external organisations through MARSM’s platforms on a case-by-case basis.


  • At least 3-4 years proven experience as a Marketing Coordinator or Manager.
  • Significant experience in marketing, content creation and paid promotion.
  • Some knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Editorial mindset seeking to understand what audiences consume and how to create it.
  • Deep understanding of customer journey across social media and website
  • Excellent command of English (other languages also desirable, particularly Arabic).

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A portfolio of successfully launched work that demonstrates an exceptional eye for digital marketing campaigns. 
  • Organised, work well under pressure and switch between projects seamlessly in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to translate business insights into creative execution. 
  • A team player: excellent collaboration skills.

This is a full-time position. It is located at the MARSM office space in East London but open to remote working too. Perks include guest list tickets for you and at least one friend to all MARSM events. The successful candidate will report to senior Marsm staff, and will be responsible for the Social Media Officer and Content Designer.
